According to the 2025 Sustainable Development Report by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), the Philippines has climbed to 87th place out of 193 UN Member States, with an improved SDG Index score of 68.34, up from 67.51 in 2024. Notably, our spillover score of 96.12 places us 16th globally, reflecting the positive impact of our development efforts beyond national borders. The report showed we are working to achieve responsible consumption and production but still have seven major challenges remaining out of the 17 SDGs.

In the packaging industry, GlobalData reports that consumption reached 78.5 billion units in 2024 and is projected to grow to 91.8 billion units by 2029 (CAGR of 3.2%). Meanwhile, IMARC Group values the market at $75.19 billion in 2024, with forecasts reaching $109.17 billion by 2033 (CAGR of 4.26%). Complementing this, the Printers & Copiers market in the Philippines is expected to generate $74.70 million in 2025, with steady annual growth of 0.56% through 2030.

These developments highlight the growing relevance of PackPrintPlas Philippines 2025. Through its seminars, live equipment demonstrations, and panel discussions on sustainable packaging, digital printing, bioplastics, and circular manufacturing, the expo serves as a vital platform for knowledge-sharing, innovation, and collaboration among industry stakeholders.
